Youth Street in Townsville and Mt Isa was featured at the recent North Queensland Cowboys Rugby League game that was played in Townsville. Over 40 free passes to Youth Street were handed out on the night to many of the young people who attended and the Youth Street commercial was shown on the jumbo screen during the game.
Youth Street is a program for youth from 12 – 17 to give them a fun and safe place to hang out, play and be mentored run by Youth With A Mission in Australia and around the world.

Just got this e-mail sent to me this morning asking for prayer for Steve Aherne, the National Director of Youth With A Mission Australia:
Steve would like to request some urgent prayer for his health. He is being taken to the hospital today due to losing body heat from the extreme psoriasis breakout on his body. He is experiencing pain over his entire body and would greatly appreciate immediate prayer coverage as much as possible.
I consider myself lucky to call Steve a good friend and am praying for a quick recovery for him. He has battled with chronic health troubles ever since I’ve know him and would love to see some healing come to his body.
Please send up a prayer for Steve Aherne when you get a chance.
Amongst the current political unrest in Thailand a YWAM Outreach Team (SOMM) from Australia is seeing some amazing results. They are primarily working with children and women who are currently trapped in the sex industry.
The team is taking all necessary precautions to stay safe and will be returning to Australia shortly. When they return to Australia the School of Music in Missions (SOMM) team will do a music tour to promote the issues of injustice in Thailand.
